Neil is a rock and the most amazingly compassionate and self actualized person I have ever, ever known. I have a lot to say about this man, and what we have, and particularly the gifts he gives me. Not today, but I could not let another day go by without acknowledging the immense positive effect of his presence in my world and the deep and true sacrifices he makes for my comfort and benefit. I am a life long survivor of more than your average Joe's share of adversity, and a historic odds beater. I am almost forty five and my life expectancy was forty from a bout of strange and rare heart issues that attacked me at nineteen, during pregnancy with my daughter, so I have more than learned the gratitude lesson…my latest challenge is aggressive triple-negative breast cancer (IDC) and I have started this blog at diagnosis. I will complete chemo and have a double mastectomy and possible hysterectomy. I am being tested for the BRCA mutation. I came into this a holistic based vegan. Thank you for visiting, my goal is three fold – to share my experience with those that already know me and care, to illicit the cathartic quality of journaling, and to hopefully help the random fighter, survivor, and curious loved ones of such get a view into someone else's experience.
